On Monday, the United States announced new military aid to Ukraine worth $350 million, including ammunition for the Himars precision missile launchers.
“Only Russia can end its war today. Until it does, we will stand with Ukraine for as long as necessary,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
The aid, which also includes Bradley light armored vehicles, missiles and anti-tank weapons, comes from funds approved by the US Congress.
“As Russia continues its unacceptable war against Ukraine and its heavy human toll, we bear in mind the boundless courage and unwavering determination of the Ukrainian people,” Blinken added.
Washington is watching Chinese President Xi Jinping’s three-day visit to Russia warily.
