The CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a “Morning Meeting” livestream every weekday at 10:20 a.m. ET. On Monday, U.S. stocks rose as the busiest week of first-quarter earnings kicked off. A dozen Club holdings, including Apple and Amazon, are slated to post results. However, Jim Cramer argued that the market will be more focused on the Federal Reserve’s next interest rate policy decision set for Wednesday and the April jobs report on Friday. In his view, these factors will be the main prisms through which investors will view Amazon and Apple.

Alphabet shares declined more than 2.5% on Monday amid broader weakness in mega-cap tech names. Negative press surrounding the company may be weighing down the stock. Reports emerged that Apple is in talks with OpenAI, a Microsoft-backed startup, in addition to Alphabet-owned Google, for generative artificial intelligence features in the upcoming iPhone. Jim Cramer believes that Alphabet looks attractive at current lower levels for new buyers, as the stock is presenting an opportunity to invest in a high-quality company.

Palo Alto Networks stock advanced more than 1% on Monday after Morgan Stanley praised the Club’s favorite cybersecurity name. Analysts cited a strong demand environment for Palo Alto’s offerings and noted that the company appears to be enhancing its competitive advantage among peers. Jim Cramer has previously expressed similar sentiments, especially after UnitedHealth enlisted Palo Alto to assist after a significant hack on its subsidiary earlier this year. The stocks held by Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust include GOOGL, PANW, AAPL, AMZN, and MSFT.
