The father of pastor John-Paul Miller defended his son following allegations that he drove his wife, Mica Miller, to suicide. Miller claimed that Mica was already suffering from a mental illness and had attempted to take her life before. He also stated that she had a history of mental health issues and had spent time in a mental facility. Additionally, Miller refuted claims that John-Paul was romantically involved with another woman at the time of Mica’s death.

Mica’s family has accused John-Paul of abuse and threatening behavior, with her sister, Sierra Francis, claiming that the pastor sent threatening messages. Screenshots shared by Francis showed messages where John-Paul allegedly blamed Mica for his troubles and threatened her. Mica had served him with divorce papers just days before her death. Her belongings were found along a river in Lumber River State Park, where she was later discovered deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into Mica’s death, ruling it a suicide. However, her sister filed an affidavit in Horry County Probate Court stating that Mica had told her if she was found dead in a particular way, her husband was responsible. The Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from the FBI and US Attorney’s Office to further investigate the circumstances surrounding Mica’s death.

John-Paul’s father, Reginald Miller, defended his son, claiming that Mica’s mental health issues were significant and had been ongoing. He disputed the allegations that John-Paul had some involvement in her death and cited instances where he had to intervene due to Mica’s behavior. Miller also mentioned that there was video evidence of Mica discussing a previous suicide attempt. Despite the accusations against John-Paul, Miller maintains that his son was not responsible for Mica’s death.

The situation has escalated with family members on both sides making accusations and defending their positions. Mica’s family has publicly accused John-Paul of abusive behavior and threats, while John-Paul’s father has come forward to defend his son’s character. The allegations and counter-allegations have led to a complex situation that has caught the attention of law enforcement agencies and raised questions about Mica’s mental health and the circumstances of her death.
