The remains of a 19-year-old college student, Sade Robinson, who was killed and dismembered on a date, have washed up on the shores of Lake Michigan. A torso and arm believed to be Robinson’s were found by a citizen walking along a remote stretch of beach in South Milwaukee. Investigators are confident that the remains belong to Robinson, who they believe was murdered by Maxwell Anderson earlier this month. Anderson, 33, was arrested one day after Robinson’s severed leg was found on the same beach and three days after the pair’s date.

Anderson’s father released a statement offering condolences to Robinson’s loved ones before the latest discovery of remains was made public. Robinson and Anderson had gone on a dinner date, with Robinson expressing excitement to meet Anderson. Concerned friends and coworkers reported her missing when she failed to show up for work, leading investigators to find her burned car and remains of her outfit. Anderson allegedly killed Robinson after dinner, drinks, and time together at his apartment. Her cellphone pinged at various locations across the city before running out of battery near the beach park where her remains were found.

Security footage showed a car matching Robinson’s and a person walking between the car and the beach at the park. Hours later, the burned Honda was found miles away, and Anderson was seen riding a bus towards his home. The complaint states that Anderson intentionally killed and dismembered Robinson to conceal the homicide. Anderson, who has prior convictions for domestic incidents, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson in the case. His attorney has stated that Anderson is presumed innocent and plans to vigorously fight the charges. He is currently being held on a $5 million bond, with a preliminary examination scheduled for Monday.

The community has been shocked and devastated by the senseless death of Sade Robinson. Maxwell Anderson, whom Robinson’s family called a “sick son of a b–ch,” has been accused of the murder. Anderson has a history of domestic incidents and has three prior convictions. Despite his attorney stating that he is presumed innocent, Anderson is facing serious charges for the murder and dismemberment of Robinson. The discovery of more remains belonging to Robinson has added to the tragic nature of this case. The investigation is ongoing, and the legal proceedings against Anderson will continue in the coming days.
