The Livery Shop, located in the historic East End Livery barn in Inglewood, has been a beloved establishment known for its unique goods and historic charm. Established in 2014 by the owners of Camp Brand Goods and Coutukitsch, the shop has played a significant role in the community for the past decade. However, in a bittersweet announcement on Instagram, the owners revealed that the shop will be closing its doors for good, marking the end of a decade-long chapter for the business. The decision was difficult, but the owners expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering support.

The closure of The Livery Shop has sparked a wave of responses from patrons, ranging from anticipation to nostalgia. Many have fond memories of the shop and the experiences created there over the past 10 years. The original vision for the business came from four friends who stumbled upon the space that would become The Livery Shop. What started as a search for a studio space evolved into a unique and thriving retail establishment that captured the hearts of many in the community.

For years, the iconic red barn in Inglewood served as the home of The Livery Shop until 2019, when the business transitioned into an old schoolhouse nearby. As the business prepares to bid farewell, the future remains uncertain for many. However, the owners have announced that the closure is not a definitive goodbye, but rather a “see you later” with a new concept in the works. Connor and Leslie Gould will be taking over the space exclusively for Camp Brand Goods, preserving the building’s legacy while ushering in a fresh chapter for their own brand.

Despite The Livery Shop closing its doors, the piece of history it leaves behind – the bright red barn built in 1909 – will continue to endure. The four founders may be embarking on different paths, but they remain committed to serving their customers and staying connected to the community. Plans are in place for Coutukitsch to expand its reach from its studio space in Inglewood, ensuring that the legacy of The Livery Shop lives on in new and exciting ways. The closure of the shop marks the end of an era, but also signifies the beginning of new opportunities and ventures for those involved.
