Stray Kids, the South Korean boy band, are gearing up for their next big move in the music industry. With a single featuring Charlie Puth set to be released later this month, the group is hoping to make a mark on the charts and attract new fans. In advance of this release, Stray Kids have achieved a significant milestone by earning a gold certification from the RIAA for their recent single “Maniac”. This certification signifies that the song has moved 500,000 equivalent units in the U.S. through a combination of pure sales and streaming equivalents.

“Maniac” becoming gold marks Stray Kids’ second gold single in the U.S., following their first certification for “God’s Menu” last October. This achievement puts them in a category shared by only one other South Korean boy band – BTS. Known for their numerous successes on the international stage, BTS has seen 10 songs go gold in the U.S., with six reaching platinum status and some even achieving multi-platinum certifications. Their hit track “Dynamite” stands as their most-certified song, having achieved triple platinum status.

In addition to their gold singles, Stray Kids also have two gold albums in their discography. Earlier this year, their album “Rock-Star” was certified gold in the U.S., following their previous success with “5-Star” receiving a gold certification last year. While they have yet to reach platinum status for any of their releases, the group’s continued success and growing fanbase suggest that it may be just a matter of time before they achieve this milestone.

The significance of Stray Kids being only the second South Korean boy band with more than one gold single in America highlights their growing influence and popularity in the international music scene. Alongside BTS, who have set the bar high with their multiple gold and platinum certifications, Stray Kids are paving the way for future K-pop acts to make a mark on the global music landscape. With their unique sound, high-energy performances, and dedicated fanbase, Stray Kids are well-positioned to continue their success and potentially reach even greater heights in the future.

As the group prepares to release their collaboration with Charlie Puth and continues to work on new music and projects, fans are eagerly anticipating what the future holds for Stray Kids. With their recent gold certification for “Maniac” and their track record of success in both music sales and streaming, Stray Kids are proving themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Their achievements and accolades so far are just the beginning of what is sure to be a long and successful career for this talented group of young musicians.
