Sebastian Rogers, a 15-year-old from Tennessee, disappeared from his Hendersonville home two months ago without a trace. His father, Seth Rogers, has hired a private investigator to help in the search for his son and is calling on the FBI to get involved as well. Despite his efforts, Seth has faced challenges in receiving information from Sumner County authorities and recently dealt with a scammer who demanded money for information about Sebastian’s whereabouts.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert for Sebastian on Feb. 26 after he was last seen in the area of Stafford Court. His mother, Katie Proudfoot, reported hearing noise coming from Sebastian’s room on Feb. 25 and telling him to keep it down. The next morning, he was gone. There have been rumors and speculation online regarding the involvement of Sebastian’s parents, Chris and Katie Proudfoot, but a spokesperson for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation stated that they have been cooperative throughout the investigation.

Seth Rogers had expressed skepticism about Katie and Chris’s decision to leave town after Sebastian’s disappearance but ultimately decided to work together with them and the private investigator they hired to find their missing son. With the cooperation of all parties involved, they are putting aside their differences and focusing on locating Sebastian, who could be anywhere. Seth remembers their last phone call, regretting not taking more time to speak to his son, who has autism and enjoys video games and Legos.

Sebastian’s disappearance has garnered significant attention, with authorities receiving 314 tips related to the search for him as of Tuesday. Investigators are urging the public to be on the lookout for anything unusual and to contact the Sumner County Emergency Communications Center or the TBI with any information that could help in finding Sebastian. Despite the challenges and lack of answers in the case, Sebastian’s family and investigators remain committed to locating the missing teenager and bringing him home safely.
