De Bellefeuille warned that person-to-person transactions often rely on good faith, and buyers need to be vigilant, especially when dealing with high-value items. She advised buyers to ensure they are dealing with real and reputable individuals and to confirm the condition of the item before completing the transaction to avoid falling victim to scams.
