A left-wing dark money group funded by billionaire George Soros is providing bail and legal support for anti-Israel activists who were arrested after blocking major roads and highways in response to the United States’ support for Israel. The demonstrations were largely organized by A15 Action, a group coordinating a multi-city economic blockade in solidarity with Palestine. Donations to the bail and legal defense fund hosted by ActBlue will benefit the Community Justice Exchange, a project of the Soros-funded Tides Center, to support individuals criminalized for their solidarity with Palestine.

The Community Justice Exchange aims to provide money bail, court fees, and fines to community-based organizations challenging the current operation of the criminal legal and immigration detention systems. The Soros-backed Open Society Policy Center has previously given millions of dollars to groups expressing support for Hamas or attacks on Israel. Hundreds of anti-Israel agitators caused traffic disruptions and chaos in major U.S. cities like San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia, with some protesters attaching themselves to containers filled with concrete.

In California, anti-Israel agitators shut down traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge, leading to 38 arrests by the California Highway Patrol. Protesters carried banners with messages calling for an end to the siege on Gaza. In New York City, nearly 300 protesters gathered outside the New York Stock Exchange chanting pro-Palestine slogans. Demonstrations also took place on the Brooklyn Bridge. In Chicago, protesters blocked traffic to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, resulting in delays and arrests by the police. In Philadelphia, protesters blocked an intersection and were met with a noticeable police presence.

In Miami and Tampa, protesters called for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. In Texas, demonstrators gathered outside the Valero headquarters in San Antonio to oppose Israeli military action. The protests continued into the evening with pro-Israel groups demonstrating at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and disrupting traffic. The tactics used by the protesters, including blocking roads and highways, were condemned by law enforcement for being unlawful and disruptive. The demonstrations were part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness about the conflict in the Middle East and to demand action for peace in the region.
