A New Mexico couple, Ron Novak and Michelle Bush, discovered a genie lamp worth three wishes and $1.2 million in the Texas desert after participating in a treasure-hunting game organized by Treasure Games. The couple spent over two months and made three trips to Dallas to find the lamp, which was hidden as part of the company’s first-ever competition that offered the winner the option of $1 million in cash or three wishes valued at $1.2 million.

During their third trip to Dallas, Novak and Bush extended their stay by a day, feeling they were on the verge of finding the treasure. They credited a clue related to an episode of the classic sitcom “Seinfeld” for ultimately leading them to the lamp. The precise clue from the show was not disclosed, but the couple ultimately chose the three wishes option after locating the lamp, rather than the cash prize.

In a generous gesture, Novak and Bush decided to use their wishes to benefit others. They donated money to a charity, Hare Krishna Food for Life Group, with their first wish, as a way of giving back to an organization that had previously helped Novak when he was homeless. The couple then used their second wish to purchase and renovate the Southwest Motel in their hometown in New Mexico. For their final wish, they requested a Sprinter van large enough to accommodate their four dogs, highlighting their love for their pets.

Excited by their experience with the treasure-hunting game, Novak and Bush are planning to launch their own treasure hunt for others to enjoy. Their game is intended to be simpler than the one they participated in, designed to be solved within a weekend or a week and starting at a subscription fee of $5,000. As for Treasure Games, the company announced their upcoming second Wish Lamp hunt with a $1 million prize, set to begin in June. This hunt, like the previous one, will require subscription to the specific game in season, with clues provided regularly to assist participants.

Treasure Games offers a variety of treasure hunts with life-changing prizes, open to anyone aged 13 and up who is willing to subscribe to the game. Subscribers receive daily clues leading them closer to the hidden lamp, providing an engaging and exciting experience for those seeking adventure and the chance to win significant prizes. With the success of Novak and Bush’s participation in the game, the company looks forward to launching more hunts in the future, allowing more individuals the opportunity to embark on a thrilling treasure hunt with the potential for a life-altering reward.
