Warhorse Studio is set to release the sequel to their 2018 hit game Kingdom Come: Deliverance later this year. The sequel will take players to the 15th century Bohemian city of Kuttenberg, a setting described as “really big” by creative director Daniel Vavra. The game promises to be even bigger, more fun, and more diverse than its predecessor, with the introduction of new weapons like the crossbow and primitive firearms.

The story of the sequel will continue to follow the squire Henry and the knight Hans Capon as they venture out of the country. The trailer for the game showcases gameplay, cinematics, and discussions from actors and developers, hinting at a rich and immersive experience for players. The game is said to be a behemoth in comparison to the first, with more energy, pace, adventure, action, and fun. The world will be roughly twice the size of the previous installment, with a more in-depth story focused on the problem with kings.

According to Vavra, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is what the developers initially intended the game to be but were limited by resources and experience. Now, they have the opportunity to take the concept to another level and deliver a game that surpasses their original vision. The game aims to create a historically accurate world, with attention to detail in weapons, costumes, locations, and people. While it is not a typical fantasy RPG with magicians, dragons, or elves, the game offers plenty of adventure, exploration, and knight errantry for players to enjoy.

The sequel promises to be much bigger in scope and offers a thrilling gaming experience filled with trial, tribulation, and everything players could want. With a focus on the conflict with kings, the story has evolved from a small-scale conflict to a more complex narrative that aims to engage players on a deeper level. The game will feature a full choir and orchestra in a beautiful Eastern European cathedral, adding a touch of elegance to the immersive experience.

Fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance can expect an epic journey in the upcoming sequel, with new challenges, environments, and characters to encounter. The game is set to release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, offering a larger and more diverse world for players to explore. Players can look forward to an action-packed adventure, filled with excitement, unpredictability, and the opportunity to make decisions that will impact the fate of the world. Ultimately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II promises to deliver a gaming experience that surpasses its predecessor and immerses players in a rich and historically accurate world.
