Linkin Park continues to be a dominant force in the world of hard rock, despite not releasing new music since the death of frontman Chester Benington in 2017. Their latest offering, a new set titled Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000–2023), has debuted at No. 1 on two Billboard charts. This success comes as a testament to the band’s enduring popularity and influence in the music industry.

This latest achievement doubles Linkin Park’s total number of No. 1s on the Vinyl Albums chart, with Papercuts being a quick seller on the format. The band had previously reached the top of this chart last year with an anniversary re-release of their album Meteora, showcasing their continued appeal to fans and collectors.

In addition to the Vinyl Albums chart, Papercuts also achieved success on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, securing Linkin Park’s eighth No. 1 on this particular list. This impressive track record demonstrates the band’s enduring legacy and their ability to resonate with audiences across different generations.

Despite nearly debuting at No. 1 on five different charts, Papercuts fell just short on three of them, landing in the runner-up position. This includes the Top Rock & Alternative, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts, where the band narrowly missed out on the top spot.

In its first week of release, Papercuts sold 20,522 copies, earning the band a No. 2 placement on the Top Album Sales chart. This high sales figure highlights the continued demand for Linkin Park’s music and their ability to attract a dedicated fanbase that is willing to support their music through physical purchases.

Overall, Linkin Park’s latest release reaffirms their status as one of the most successful and enduring names in hard rock music. Despite not producing new material, the band continues to connect with fans through their back catalog and previously unreleased tracks, showcasing their lasting impact on the music industry.
