Julie Chen Moonves shared exciting news about the potential return of Celebrity Big Brother, indicating that the show is likely to come back during the Winter Olympics. The spinoff series, which features famous faces competing in a shortened season, first premiered in February 2018 as counterprogramming to the Winter Olympics. With three seasons already aired, fans can expect the show to return around February 2026.

Chen Moonves revealed her dream cast for Celebrity Big Brother, which includes A-listers such as Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, and RuPaul. Each season of the show features 11 to 12 celebrities from various professions competing for a chance to win $250,000. Viewers get an inside look at the celebrities’ lives with live feeds of the game available on Paramount+.

Despite being the longtime host of Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother, Chen Moonves joked that she would not fare well as a contestant on the show. She cited being too truthful and trusting, as well as not being as athletic as she used to be, as reasons for her reluctance to participate in the game’s challenges. While she enjoys hosting the shows, she doesn’t see herself entering the competition.

While Celebrity Big Brother is a popular show in the U.S., it also has successful versions in other countries like the U.K. The British version of the show has been around since 2001 and has had a total of 23 seasons. Some big names have participated in the U.K. version, including LaToya Jackson, Tara Reid, Lucien Laviscount, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Tiffany Pollard. The global success of Celebrity Big Brother highlights the appeal of the show and the entertainment value of watching celebrities compete in the iconic reality TV home.
