President Biden is set to headline an extravagant fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, featuring former Presidents Obama and Clinton. The event is expected to cause significant traffic congestion in the area, with traffic barriers already in place around the venue by 7 a.m. Despite road closures not being confirmed by the NYPD, preparations are underway for the high-profile event.

Facing a 40% approval rating just months ahead of the November election, President Biden is aiming to raise an impressive $25 million at the fundraiser. More than 5,000 attendees have paid between $250 and $250,000 to be a part of the event, making it potentially the most successful political fundraiser in history.

To inject some energy into his campaign, Biden has enlisted the help of various celebrities, including Stephen Colbert, Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, and Lea Michele. These stars are expected to perform or participate in an “armchair conversation” led by Colbert with the former presidents.

Attendees who have paid top dollar will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the three presidents by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. The fundraiser extravaganza will not be televised, but American voters can watch the event virtually by paying $25 to access the livestream.

A Biden campaign spokesperson emphasized the unity and energy behind the president’s reelection campaign, with Democrats showing their support at the upcoming fundraiser in New York City. Despite Biden’s approval rating challenges, the event is anticipated to demonstrate a strong show of support from key party figures and celebrities in his bid for a second term.
