Rob Marciano, a meteorologist with ABC News, was reportedly fired after a decade with the network following complaints about his behavior. It was reported that multiple staffers had made complaints about his behavior over the years. This came one year after Page Six reported that Marciano had been “improper” with a colleague, leading to him being barred from the Times Square set in NYC. Despite stepping away from his Good Morning America weekend gig, Marciano continued to contribute to ABC’s news programs, including World News Tonight.

Before his time with ABC, Rob Marciano worked at local TV and radio stations such as KATU in Portland, Oregon, KPLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut. He also served as a meteorologist, field correspondent, and anchor for CNN. In January 2013, he made the move to Entertainment Tonight, co-hosting the 30-minute program as well as the 60-minute weekend edition. He eventually left ET in August 2014 to join ABC, where he provided forecasts for World News Tonight and the weekend editions of Good Morning America.

Rob Marciano was born in Glenville, Connecticut, and attended Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in meteorology. He holds the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval as a certified broadcast meteorologist. His ex-wife, Eryn, filed for divorce in 2022 after more than a decade of marriage. The pair shared two children, daughter Madelynn and son Mason. Eryn’s filing came one month after they sold their family home in Rye, New York for $2.7 million.

While it is unclear if Rob Marciano has any current pets, he and his family said goodbye to their beloved dog Sunny in 2022 after a battle with cancer. Rob enjoys skiing, camping, and spending time with his children at Disney World. He often shares experiences and pictures from their trips on social media. In 2019, he had a daddy-daughter Disney getaway with his daughter Madelynn, cherishing every moment of her innocence. Despite facing personal challenges like his divorce, he remains focused on his children and making memories with them.

In September 2023, Rob celebrated his 10-year anniversary with ABC and expressed his excitement about continuing his journey with the network. He also teased an upcoming project with NatGeo and the opportunity to explore new things. This change in programming would allow him to spend more quality time with his children, as he mentioned his excitement about being home most weekends. Despite the challenges he has faced, Rob remains grateful for the opportunities he has had and the support from his colleagues.

Rob Marciano’s career has taken him through various TV stations and networks before landing at ABC News. Despite the challenges and controversies he has faced, he continues to focus on his work, family, and personal interests. His passion for meteorology and broadcasting shines through in his contributions to news programs and his interactions with viewers on social media. As he moves forward from his tenure with ABC, it will be interesting to see where his career takes him next and how he continues to make an impact in the field of meteorology.
