Stacey Roy, a woman from Kelowna, B.C., became an international sensation after winning the title of Lego Master on a U.S. reality program over a year ago. Since then, she has been traveling all over North America to meet fans and families who share her love for Lego. Roy, an Adult Fan of Lego (AFOL), has attended various Lego conventions, including the recent BrickCon in Vancouver and the San Diego Comic Con. She has been dismantling her Lego den in Kelowna as she prepares to move to Los Angeles to capitalize on the opportunities that have come her way since her win on the show.

Roy’s love for Lego started in childhood, but it was a Star Wars set that reignited her passion for building as an adult. She recently added a Queen Amidala minifigure to her collection, a set she had been wanting for years that she was only able to find on eBay Canada. Roy sees Lego as a way to tell stories and express her creativity, creating complex universes and narratives through her builds. She encourages others to start small by expanding on existing Lego sets and building upon the world around them to tell a story.

As a storyteller at heart, Roy finds Lego to be a great outlet for her creativity and passion. She emphasizes the importance of thinking about the story you want to tell when building with Lego and expanding on that idea to create a unique and engaging universe. Roy’s success as a Lego Master has opened up new opportunities for her, including upcoming Lego adventures that she is excited to share with her fans. Despite her move to Los Angeles, Roy plans to return home regularly while continuing to build her Lego empire and inspire others with her creations.

Roy’s experiences as a Lego Master have been a whirlwind, from being selected for the show to winning the title and traveling to various conventions across North America. She has met fans and fellow Lego enthusiasts from all walks of life, from small towns like Bronxville, Ont., to big cities like Los Angeles. As she continues to build her Lego empire and explore new opportunities, Roy remains grateful for the amazing experiences she has had since her win on the reality show. She looks forward to sharing more tips and tricks with fans in the future and spreading her love for Lego storytelling.
