Jeff Gunter, a former Trump official and current Republican Nevada Senate candidate, has launched an initiative called “Build the Wall, Deport Them All” in an effort to end the crisis at the southern border and oust the incumbent Democrat in the crucial battleground race. Gunter plans to invest $1 million of his own money into the initiative, which will include developing a website and reporting mechanism for citizens to report suspicious activity related to illegal immigration. The goal is to inform people across Nevada about the initiative and mobilize more supporters in the near future.

Gunter’s initiative will focus on working with local businesses to identify illegal immigrants negatively impacting their operations and reporting that information to the Department of Homeland Security for enforcement. He also plans to partner with small businesses to assess and mitigate the impact of illegal immigration, as well as launch a “See Something, Say Something” campaign to empower citizens to report suspicious activities. Gunter also pledges to resume border wall construction, enhance border surveillance, crack down on sanctuary cities and states, and end birthright citizenship if elected as U.S. Senator.

If elected, Gunter intends to reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy for asylum seekers and Title 42, which allowed officials to turn away migrants at the border due to health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic. He argues that illegal immigrants are invaders and that it is necessary to keep America safe by shutting the border and advocating for the largest deportation program ever seen in the country. Gunter emphasizes the importance of preventing illegal acts as the first act for individuals entering the country and supporting President Trump’s border security efforts.

Gunter’s investment in the initiative comes as he ramps up his Senate campaign against former U.S. Army Captain Sam Brown for the Republican nomination to challenge incumbent Democrat Jacky Rosen in November. The National Republican Senatorial Committee, which is backing Brown, has criticized Gunter as a Democrat who recently moved from California to Nevada and alleged that he will stand with Joe Biden to open the border instead of securing it. Rosen’s campaign has highlighted her bipartisan and effective record as a Senator, focusing on delivering for Nevadans and working across party lines.

The primary election for the Nevada Senate race is set for Tuesday, June 11, and the race is expected to be a key battleground contest in the upcoming election. Gunter’s initiative and campaign platform prioritize border security and efforts to tackle illegal immigration, aligning with former President Trump’s policies and positioning Gunter as a strong advocate for national security and the rule of law. Gunter’s push to secure the border and crack down on illegal immigration reflects the broader political debate around immigration issues and enforcement in the United States.
