A Florida sheriff’s deputy, Francisco Alberto Estrella Chicon, was arrested for allegedly using law enforcement resources to obtain information about a woman’s homicide investigation and sharing it with the victim’s husband. The victim, Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas, was kidnapped at gunpoint and her body was later found in a burning vehicle. Estrella, the deputy accused of sharing information, communicated with the victim’s husband via WhatsApp and provided details about the case. He used his access to a law enforcement database to obtain personal information about the detective working the case and sent it to the husband, along with a video recording of a conversation he had with the detective.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office relieved Estrella of all his law enforcement duties without pay during the criminal investigation. Sheriff John Mina called the allegations very serious and said it is unacceptable for any law enforcement officer to misuse their power and authority. The victim’s husband has been cooperating with law enforcement, but authorities suspect he may know more than he has shared. No arrests have been made in Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ case, and no suspects have been named. The suspects’ vehicle, a green Acura, was found abandoned, potentially linking Guerrero De Aguasvias’ killing to another death in Orange County.

The investigation into Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ murder is still ongoing, with authorities stating that it was not a random act and that they believe the victim was targeted. The suspects’ vehicle was found abandoned, and authorities are working to gather more information about the case. Juan Luis Cintron Garcia, a tow truck driver who had towed the Acura in March, was fatally shot the day before Guerrero De Aguasvivas was kidnapped. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is in the early stages of the investigation and is working to determine any connections between the two cases.

Sheriff John Mina stated that it is completely unacceptable for an officer to misuse the power and authority of their job and that the allegations against Estrella are very serious. Estrella allegedly obstructed the investigation by sharing information about the case with the victim’s husband, including details about the detective assigned to the case. Authorities are still working to gather more information about Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ murder and to identify any potential suspects. The victim’s husband has been cooperating to some extent with law enforcement, but authorities suspect he may have more information about the case.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an open and active murder investigation into Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ death. Estrella has been relieved of all law enforcement duties without pay during the criminal investigation. Guerrero De Aguasvivas was kidnapped at gunpoint and her body was found in a burning vehicle, with the suspects’ distinctive green Acura being found abandoned. Authorities believe the murder was a targeted act and are working to gather more information about the case. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
