Busy Philipps is sharing her pride in her eldest daughter Birdie’s journey at boarding school in Sweden. While it was not her choice for Birdie to attend boarding school, Philipps encouraged her daughter to spread her wings and experience another culture. This has allowed their relationship to focus more on fun instead of typical parent-child responsibilities. Despite the distance, Philipps is able to connect with Birdie daily through FaceTime, but does miss physically being there for her daughter, especially during difficult times such as Birdie’s recent epilepsy diagnosis.

Despite challenges, including missing her daughter during times of illness, Philipps is proud of Birdie’s independence and resilience, especially in the midst of a pandemic. While Birdie thrives at boarding school, Philipps’s youngest daughter Cricket remains at home in the United States. Philipps respects Cricket’s desire for privacy and does not frequently share updates about her on social media, allowing her to be her own person. The actress acknowledges that both her daughters have their own unique interests and personalities, and she supports them in their individual journeys.

In addition to being a parent, Philipps is also focusing on her own mental health and recently received an ADHD diagnosis. This diagnosis has had a significant impact on her life, improving her executive function skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Philipps has become more aware of her own needs and is learning to adjust to her diagnosis. Despite the challenges she faces as a parent and individual, Philipps is committed to taking care of herself and her family, prioritizing mental health and personal growth.

Philipps prioritizes coparenting with her ex-husband Marc Silverstein to provide a supportive and loving environment for their daughters. While Birdie attends boarding school in Sweden, Philipps remains involved in her life through regular communication. She admires Birdie’s strength and independence as she navigates new experiences and challenges. Philipps also recognizes Cricket’s unique personality and interests, allowing her to express herself and grow on her own terms. As Philipps continues to navigate parenthood and her own mental health journey, she remains proud of her daughters and the individuals they are becoming.
