Bindi Irwin’s 3-year-old daughter, Grace, is described as “hilarious” and “curious” and loves growing up at the Australia Zoo. Bindi revealed that Grace already runs the zoo in her own way and has no fear of animals, with her favorite being tortoises. Every afternoon, Bindi and Grace feed hibiscus to the tortoises in the zoo, showing Grace’s love and fascination for the animals.

Despite being her daughter’s fascination with bugs, Bindi admitted that bugs are not her personal forte. She mentioned that Grace is obsessed with creepy crawly creatures and loves looking for bugs every day. Bindi is trying to teach Grace about bees and other insects, even though she has a fear of bugs herself. She is learning to embrace her fears for her daughter’s sake and to help her explore and learn about the world around her.

Grace’s curiosity and love for everything around her have helped Bindi find her own inner child. Bindi expressed her wish for adults to be more inquisitive and fascinated by the world like children are. She sees Grace as a reminder of the magic and wonder in the world, inspiring her to embrace the joy and curiosity that her daughter exudes. Bindi feels that it is important for Grace to know about the magic of the world and the beauty of nature.

Growing up surrounded by animals and the magic of the Australia Zoo, Grace is similar to Bindi in many ways. Bindi emphasized the importance of Grace knowing her late grandfather, Steve Irwin, who passed away in 2006. She mentioned how difficult it is not having her father around to share moments with Grace but finds comfort in showing her documentaries about him. Grace is familiar with Steve Irwin and even imitates his famous catchphrase, “Crikey,” showing that she is getting to know her grandfather in a special way through television.

Seeing Grace use her father’s catchphrase brings tears to Bindi’s eyes every time, as it is a meaningful way for Grace to connect with her late grandfather. Bindi appreciates the impact that her father had on so many people’s lives and feels grateful that Grace can learn about him through documentaries and videos. She finds comfort in the fact that Grace is getting to know Steve Irwin through the screen and is touched by the special bond that they share despite never having met in person.
