Aubrey O’Day claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs attempted to buy her silence by offering her publishing rights on Bad Boy Records. She stated that she was going to be given $300.30 in exchange for releasing all claims against Diddy and others. O’Day believed that Diddy’s motivation was to keep as many people quiet as possible. When she realized that the deal asked her to stay silent and not speak poorly about anyone, she felt that something bad was coming.

A source close to Diddy refuted O’Day’s claim and stated that not all artists signed a non-disclosure agreement when Diddy reassigned his portion of the publishing to Bad Boy artists in 2023. Diddy explained that the move was about doing the right thing and reforming an industry that needs change. The documentary about Diddy, titled TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy, comes after his homes were raided by Homeland Security in Los Angeles and Miami. The raids were reported to be in connection with a federal sex trafficking investigation.

Diddy’s lawyer, Aaron Dyer, criticized the law enforcement’s use of excessive force during the raids, claiming that it was an unprecedented ambush and a witch hunt based on meritless accusations. Dyer stated that there was no criminal or civil liability found in connection with the allegations against Diddy. Despite multiple accusations of sexual assault against Diddy since November 2023, he maintains his innocence and vows to continue fighting to clear his name.

Homeland Security confirmed that the raids at Diddy’s homes were part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from local law enforcement partners. They also mentioned that further information would be provided as it becomes available. The events surrounding the raids were characterized by a coordinated media presence and a rush to judgment of Diddy based on civil lawsuits. Diddy’s children and employees were said to have been treated with hostility during the raids. Diddy’s team emphasized his innocence and commitment to proving it amidst the allegations and investigations.
