Anne Wilson, an up-and-coming Christian and country music artist, is celebrating the success of her latest single “Strong” hitting No. 1 on Christian radio. This single is part of her new album REBEL, where she co-wrote all 16 songs. The album features a mix of faith-filled songs, country tunes, and blends of both genres, offering listeners a diverse musical journey. Wilson’s rise to fame began three years ago with the release of her debut single “My Jesus,” which earned her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. Since then, she has been recognized with several Christian music awards, named one of Opry NextStage Artists and CMT’s Next Women of Country.

Wilson’s personal story is as powerful as her music, having experienced a tragic loss at a young age when her brother passed away. This event led her to discover her passion for singing and songwriting, shifting the trajectory of her life. Despite having no early connection to music and dreaming of becoming an astronaut, Wilson found her calling in writing and performing Christian music. Her book “My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope,” released in 2022, chronicles the miraculous events that shaped her journey and propelled her music career forward. Wilson attributes her success to divine intervention, stating that “the only explanation is God.”

Mentored by singer/songwriter Matthew West, Wilson collaborated with him on most of the songs on her new album. She credits West for encouraging her creativity and welcoming her ideas, allowing her to freely express herself through her music. REBEL showcases Wilson’s ability to tackle a variety of topics and musical styles, from the title track “Rebel” to emotional ballads like “Rain in the Rearview” and duets like “Praying Woman” with Lainey Wilson. The album also features collaborations with Chris Tomlin and Jordan Davis, showcasing Wilson’s versatility as an artist.

One of the standout tracks on the album, “My Father’s Daughter,” pays tribute to Wilson’s dad and reflects on her transition from her Kentucky roots to pursuing her music career in Nashville. The heartfelt song is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices and support her father provided throughout her journey. Wilson’s ability to capture emotional depth in her music resonates with listeners and has garnered her a loyal fan base. She shares advice for young girls in “Red Flag” and celebrates her Kentucky roots in “Out of the Bluegrass,” showcasing her storytelling prowess and connection to her heritage.

As Wilson continues to navigate the music industry and stay true to her faith, she remains grateful for the unexpected opportunities and growth she has experienced. Despite feeling overwhelmed at times, Wilson embraces each new day with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the blessings in her life. With her unwavering faith and dedication to her craft, Anne Wilson is poised for continued success in the music industry and making a lasting impact through her heartfelt songs and powerful storytelling.
