U.S. News and The Harris Poll joined forces in November 2023 to investigate the state of leadership in America. The results of their survey revealed that over three-quarters of respondents believe there is a leadership crisis in the corporate world, with 59% of participants admitting they do not see any leaders within their organizations that they would aspire to be. Moreover, younger workers are less inclined to climb the corporate ladder due to concerns about increased hours, pressure, and stress associated with managerial roles.

Additionally, “How To Have Tough Conversations” by Amanda and Gene Hammett provides practical and tactical guidance for leaders to navigate difficult conversations and address conflicts with confidence and clarity.

Despite the concerning leadership crisis highlighted in recent surveys, there is hope for improvement by embracing new strategies and mindsets outlined in these insightful books.
