Ilan Sinelnikov, the President and Founder of Students Supporting Israel (SSI), is warning against the rise of antisemitism on university and college campuses, drawing parallels between the current situation and the harassment and intimidation faced by Jewish people in Europe in the 1930s. Sinelnikov expressed concern over Jewish students feeling unsafe and harassed on campuses, citing recent anti-Israel protests at Columbia University where students have expressed a desire to leave due to the hostile environment. He emphasized the need for awareness of the situation and highlighted the gradual nature of the Holocaust, cautioning that similar indoctrination and hatred are spreading in educational institutions today.

Sinelnikov noted that on college campuses, Jewish people are being portrayed as subhuman and are subjected to chants calling for Zionists to be kicked out. He highlighted the importance of recognizing the parallels between the Holocaust and modern-day antisemitism, warning that history could repeat itself if the situation is not addressed. Sinelnikov stressed the need for Jewish students to remain in universities despite feeling intimidated, as leaving would only allow antisemitic forces to drive them out, emphasizing the importance of standing up against harassment and intimidation.

The SSI Movement founder criticized the lack of leadership in addressing antisemitism on campuses, noting the challenges faced by universities in dealing with such issues. Sinelnikov highlighted the distinction between freedom of speech and harassment, pointing out the threats and violence directed towards Jewish students that need to be addressed by academic institutions. He criticized the response of Columbia University’s president to the recent protests, suggesting a lack of will to take the necessary actions to ensure the safety of students on campus. Sinelnikov pointed out the failure to control the situation, leading to disruptions in students’ education.

Concerns were raised about the alarming rise of antisemitism and the threats faced by Jewish students on college campuses, with Sinelnikov warning against allowing universities to become unsafe environments for certain groups of students. He urged academic institutions to take proactive measures to address antisemitism and protect students from harassment and intimidation. Sinelnikov emphasized the need for leadership and decisive action to ensure the safety and well-being of all students on campus, calling for a united effort to combat hate and discrimination within the educational system.
