Australian audio company RØDE has introduced three new products at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. The first product is the Interview PRO, a high-quality wireless handheld microphone that is compatible with RØDE’s Series IV wireless systems. It is designed for podcasting, presentations, and streaming applications where movement is necessary.
The Interview PRO features RØDE’s Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption, allowing for broadcasting up to 200m by line of sight. It has a professional-grade condenser capsule that produces rich and detailed voice sound, making it ideal for interviews and presentations. The mic also includes RØDE’s GainAssist technology for automatic audio level control and onboard recording with 32GB internal memory.
The Phone Cage, another new product from RØDE, is a magnetic smartphone mounting system made from high-grade aluminum. It offers professional audio, lighting, and mounting solutions with 33 mounting threads and five cold shoe slots. The Phone Cage includes a powerful magnetic mounting disc for attaching any MagSafe-compatible iPhone or case, allowing users to transform their smartphone into a professional filmmaking rig.
RØDE’s third new product, the Magnetic Mount, is a magnetic mounting system for attaching microphones, lights, and other accessories to MagSafe iPhones, smartphone cases, or accessories. It features three removable arms for shooting in landscape or portrait mode, as well as mounting onto tripods or desk mounts. The Magnetic Mount is lightweight, portable, and compatible with RØDE’s ecosystem of microphones and mounting solutions for smartphones.
The Interview PRO will be available in early May, while the Phone Cage and Magnetic Mount will be available in late April. The Interview PRO is priced at $249, the Phone Cage at $120, and the Magnetic Mount at $80.
