Jennie’s solo hit “One of the Girls” continues to make history on the Billboard charts, with an impressive 16-week run on the Hot 100. This achievement places her among the longest-charting South Korean solo musicians in the history of the tally. The track has now reached the fourth-longest-charting hit by a solo artist from South Korea, solidifying Jennie’s place in chart history.

Previously tied with other South Korean solo artists, Jennie has now surpassed them, with both Psy’s “Gentleman” and Jung Kook and Latto’s “Seven” falling off the Hot 100 after 15 weeks. Psy’s iconic “Gangnam Style” remains the top track by a South Korean solo musician, with an impressive 31-week stint on the Hot 100. Jennie’s “One of the Girls” now stands as the fourth longest-charting hit, with no other South Korean solo artist coming close to Psy’s record.

Between Psy and Jennie on the chart, Jung Kook’s solo tracks have also seen success, with his recent single “Standing Next to You” leaving the Hot 100 after 19 weeks. In the past, his collaboration with Charlie Puth, “Left and Right,” spent 17 weeks on the chart, just one more than Jennie’s current hit. This time, “One of the Girls” has climbed from No. 85 to No. 76 on the Hot 100, benefiting from a less crowded chart due to Beyoncé’s new album release.

Despite the impressive success of “One of the Girls,” none of the South Korean solo artists have managed to reach 20 weeks on the Hot 100 aside from Psy. Jennie’s track continues to perform well among the likes of other global superstars, contributing to the increasing presence of South Korean artists on the Billboard charts. With her continued success, Jennie is solidifying herself as a major player in the world of music and chart-topping hits.

As the chart landscape evolves with new releases and popular tracks cycling in and out, Jennie’s “One of the Girls” remains a standout hit with its longevity on the Hot 100. With each week spent on the chart, Jennie adds to her impressive record and sets the stage for future solo releases from South Korean musicians. The global impact of K-pop continues to grow, and Jennie’s success only further cements its place in mainstream music culture.
