Paul Jeremiah Grice, a fifth member of an anti-government group in Oklahoma, has been charged with killing and kidnapping two Kansas women, Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. Grice confessed to participating in the killings and burials of the victims, according to an arrest affidavit filed in the case. He faces charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder, and is currently held without bond at the Texas County Detention Center in Guymon.

Four other individuals associated with the deaths have also been charged and are being held without bail: Tifany Adams, Tad Cullum, Cole Twombly, and Cora Twombly. The victims, Butler and Kelley, went missing on March 30 while on their way to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party. Adams, the children’s grandmother, engaged in a custody dispute with Butler, who was only permitted supervised visits with her children on Saturdays. Kelley was authorized to supervise these visits, as per the affidavits.

The suspects were part of an anti-government group with a religious affiliation known as “God’s Misfits” and held regular meetings at the homes of the Twomblys and another couple. The witness who spoke to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents provided information about the group’s activities. The arrests shed light on the dark motivations behind the killings and kidnappings of Butler and Kelley, who were caught in a complex web of disputes, custody battles, and ultimately, violence.

Grice’s confession and subsequent charges mark a significant development in the case, adding to the existing charges against the other members of the anti-government group. The investigation into the killings and kidnappings is ongoing, with authorities unraveling the intricate connections between the suspects and the victims in a bid to bring justice to the deceased. The depraved actions of the group cast a dark shadow over the region and highlight the dangers posed by extremist organizations engaging in criminal activities.

The tragic fate of Butler and Kelley serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by individuals caught in tumultuous domestic disputes and the insidious influence of radical groups. The authorities’ swift action in apprehending the suspects involved in the heinous crimes reflects the commitment to upholding justice and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable for their actions. As the investigation continues, the full extent of the anti-government group’s involvement in the deaths of the two Kansas women is set to be uncovered, shedding light on the complexities of the case and the twisted motives driving the suspects.

The relentless pursuit of justice for Butler and Kelley by law enforcement authorities demonstrates a resolute commitment to bringing closure to their families and loved ones. The arrests of the suspects and the charging of Grice represent a crucial step towards unveiling the truth behind the killings and kidnappings. Through a meticulous examination of the evidence and testimonies, the investigation seeks to piece together the events leading to the deaths of the victims and the roles played by each of the perpetrators, painting a clearer picture of the tragic events that transpired and the dark forces at play.
