They have made efforts to offer him the best possible conditions for a return to competitive skiing. Hirscher will be able to compete using Van Deer skis, a brand he co-created with his sponsor Red Bull. The switch is still pending approval from the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).

Hirscher has been training intensively in preparation for the upcoming season, with his sponsor Red Bull’s ski racing director Patrick Riml noting that he has been on snow regularly testing his equipment. Riml expressed confidence in Hirscher’s ability to once again compete at a high level, citing his past success as evidence of his potential.
