Hisense has announced the launch of its new premium ultra short throw (UST) projector, the PX3-PRO, for the 2024 season. The projector is equipped with a TriChroma triple-laser projection system and Hisense’s latest laser processing engine, which the company claims can enhance brightness, fine-tune contrast, and eliminate noise in real-time. The PX3-PRO boasts impressive specifications, including the ability to deliver 110% of the BT 2020 color space, 3,000 ANSI Lumens of brightness, image sizes ranging from 80 to 150 inches, and a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1. These features make it well-equipped to handle high dynamic range video content.

In addition to supporting the Dolby Vision and HDR10+ premium HDR formats, the PX3-PRO also offers compatibility with HDR10 and HLG formats, ensuring that it can deliver the best possible image quality regardless of the content source. The projector is IMAX Enhanced certified, meaning it meets the standards set by IMAX for displaying specially mastered, ultra-clean pictures found in IMAX Enhanced titles on 4K Blu-ray and streaming services. While it does not come with a dedicated screen like Hisense’s Laser TVs, the PX3-PRO features a built-in Google TV smart system that supports popular streaming platforms such as Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

The PX3-PRO includes support for polarized 3D, high refresh rates for gaming and sports enthusiasts, and a powerful built-in speaker system with Dolby Atmos decoding capabilities. The speakers, located on the projector’s rear edge, deliver a total of 50W of power and produce sound that is directed towards the viewer for enhanced impact and directness. With its TV-like features and impressive audio performance, the PX3-PRO aims to create an immersive home theater experience for users. Hisense has announced that the projector will be available in the third quarter of 2024 at a price of $3,499.99.
