Hamraoui has gradually found playing time at PSG in recent months. Assaulted on November 4, 2021 – by masked men while she was accompanied by car by her teammate Aminata Diallo, after a “cohesion” dinner with the women’s section of PSG – she was then sidelined on April 23. 2022, following his altercation in training with Sandy Baltimore, on the eve of a Champions League semi-final first leg, against Lyon.

This quarrel had also involved the Parisians Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Kadidatou Diani (executive players of the Blue), who came to do battle with Kheira Hamraoui. The latter will also find Baltimore and Diani in the France team during this Tournoi de France, Katoto being absent for injury.

“It’s an element like any other among the team, we don’t want to make a case for Hamroui. She wants to move forward, so do we. We want to look to the future and focus on the field.”said the coach.

While the Parisian club wanted to force her to leave the capital, Kheira Hamraoui refused and obtained her reinstatement in the professional group on September 20, 2022. Since then, she has participated in ten Division 1 matches. She has also been aligned at four times in the Champions League.

Kheira Hamraoui returns to the workforce of the Blues and applies for a place for the World Cup, from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The former Lyonnaise has not played in major official competitions with the France team since the 2016 Olympics in Rio and the 2015 World Cup in Canada.

Asked after a difficult victory for PSG against Dijon, his coach, Gérard Précheur, had evaded the question about a possible return to the Bleue of his player: ” It’s hers [Corinne Diacre] to evaluate its potential and the contribution that Kheira can represent for this selection. She can do it, not me. »

He even showed himself criticism of his performance in the Coupe de France, January 28 in Dijon: “In order not to gossip, I think Kheira Hamraoui must bring a lot more to the team. Today, she is not physically ready. Dijon’s performance [victoire 2-0] is not satisfactory. » Before tempering his judgment: “It’s true that she has a calf injury, this may explain it. But she’s not the only one among the executive players not to have been present, especially in the first period. »
