Wesley Williams, known as the “One Wheel Wonder,” holds the record for riding the tallest rideable unicycle in the world at 34.6 feet tall. His interest in performing was sparked at a young age when he received a unicycle for Christmas and was taken to see a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus show near his hometown. From there, Williams began performing at smaller events and eventually made his way to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey after years of traveling with other high-level shows around the world.

Williams’ journey to becoming a performer with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey was not an easy one. He spent years perfecting his craft at various events before catching the eye of Kenneth Feld, the CEO of Feld Entertainment, which operates the circus. Williams explains that it took traveling to Monaco for a circus competition to finally connect with Feld and land a spot with Ringling. Now a prominent figure in the show, Williams rides unique unicycles around the stage, with his biggest feat being the record-breaking 34.6 feet tall unicycle he rides in the show.

Despite breaking a record every day at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Williams never grows tired of the thrill of riding high above the crowd. He emphasizes that while he may have grown more comfortable with the act over time, the feeling of being three stories in the air always brings an adrenaline rush. Williams finds inspiration in constantly challenging himself to include new and unique elements in his act, always striving to improve and push the boundaries of his performance.

Williams’ passion for performing began at a young age and has only continued to grow over the years. He credits his inspiration to a single circus show he saw at the age of 6, which set him on the path to a successful career as a circus performer. Today, Williams finds joy in inspiring others who attend the circus and appreciates the opportunity to provide a place where people can forget about their problems and simply enjoy themselves. He acknowledges the importance of always looking forward and striving for improvement, emphasizing the need to constantly evolve and challenge oneself in order to achieve success in the performing arts.
