The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that 11 million children in Yemen depend on humanitarian aid.

The United Nations Children’s Fund, the official name of the organization, warned today, Friday, that 2.2 million girls and boys in Yemen suffer from malnutrition, and that without immediate measures, the situation will become more dangerous.

The organization added that more than 540,000 children suffer from severe malnutrition, to the point that their lives are in imminent danger if they do not receive treatment.

The organization says that more than 11,000 children were killed or seriously injured in Yemen between 2015 and 2022, pointing out that it needs about $484 million to continue its assistance to children in Yemen this year, while taking important measures to secure basic supplies.
