“The Gallant Knight 2” is an embodiment of the UAE’s humanitarian approach

The Commander of Joint Operations at the Ministry of Defense, Major General Saleh bin Mejren Al-Amiri, confirmed that “The Gallant Knight 2” is a coordinated operation that operates according to the priorities set by the authorities in Syria and Turkey, and comes as an embodiment of the UAE’s prominent humanitarian approach and the directives of its wise leadership in supporting brothers and friends in Syria and Turkey.

In addition, the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense announced yesterday the arrival of three aircraft to Turkey as part of the air bridge aimed at helping those affected by the earthquake in the country.

Relief planes continue to arrive from the country to Turkey and Syria, as well as search and rescue teams and medical equipment to perform their noble humanitarian tasks within Operation “The Gallant Knight 2”.

In detail, Major General Saleh bin Mejren Al-Amiri said in media statements that, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, Operation “The Gallant Knight 2” began yesterday to support brothers and friends in Syria and Turkey and mitigate the effects of the earthquake that struck the two countries.

He explained that Operation “The Gallant Knight 2” is a unified operation led by the Joint Operations Command at the Ministry of Defense, with the active participation of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Khalifa Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and the Emirates Red Crescent.

He added that “The Gallant Knight 2” is a coordinated operation that works according to the priorities set by the authorities in Syria and Turkey, noting that the priority for Syria is to provide a field hospital and provide support in the field of search and rescue and provide them with foodstuffs and tents, while the priority for Turkey is to provide search and rescue teams and equip a field hospital.
