Saudi Arabia: A wanted man blows himself up and injures 4 people in Jeddah


Yesterday, the Saudi State Security Presidency announced that a wanted person blew himself up when the security services began arresting procedures, killing and wounding four people, including three security men, in Jeddah on Wednesday evening.

A spokesman for the Saudi State Security Presidency said in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”: “Further to the statement issued on 4/21/1437 AH, regarding the announcement of a list of the names of 9 wanted persons to the security authorities, and as an extension of the existing security follow-up, the competent authority at the Presidency of State Security was able to Through a security operation, Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al-Bakri Al-Shehri tracked wanted person No. 4 of that list, and monitored his presence at (10:00) on Wednesday evening, corresponding to 12/1/1444 AH, in the Al-Samer neighborhood in Jeddah Governorate.

He continued, “When conducting his arrest procedures, he blew himself up with an explosive belt he was wearing, which resulted in his death, and one of the residents of Pakistani nationality and three security men were injured, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.”
