“The International Criminal Court is ready to practice false justice as a puppet of the West,” said the permanent Russian representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia.
And the Russian delegate stressed, in statements reported by the Russian “TASS” agency, yesterday, that “this international court is biased, politicized and incompetent,” adding that it is “a puppet in the hands of the collective West, and is always ready to practice false justice regularly,” as he described it.
Nebenzia added: “It is particularly ironic that the legally insignificant decisions (an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin) were announced on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the illegal US invasion of Iraq, where the International Criminal Court had jurisdiction, but did nothing to provide responsible perpetrators to justice.”
He pointed out that «Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute. The International Criminal Court does not have jurisdiction over Russia and its citizens. We consider any documents issued by this body to be illegal and void.”
