Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed China’s plan to settle the crisis with Ukraine, telling his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Monday that Moscow and Beijing have many common tasks and goals.
During his meeting with his Chinese counterpart in the Kremlin, Putin welcomed Beijing’s great interest in developing relations between Russia and China.
For his part, the Chinese president praised the close relations between Moscow and Beijing, and said at the outset of the meeting: “We are partners in a comprehensive strategic cooperation. This situation dictates the existence of close relations between our two countries.”
