The North Island in New Zealand was subjected to heavy rains again today, “Sunday”, which caused landslides, torrents and blocked roads, while the death toll rose to four after confirming the death of a missing person.
Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, has been receiving heavy rainfall since Friday.
The Meteorological Authority warned of more severe weather today and tomorrow, noting that heavy rains may cause torrents and flood streets with water as a result of the inability of the sewage network to drain it.
The authorities stated that thousands of properties are still without electricity, while water has been cut off from hundreds of them.
