Britain: Russia removes nuclear warheads from missiles and launches them at Ukraine

British military intelligence said yesterday that Russia often removes nuclear warheads from aging nuclear cruise missiles and launches them into Ukraine.

It added that open source images show wreckage of a cruise missile fired from the air over Ukraine that appears to have been designed in the 1980s as a nuclear bombing system.

And she explained that it is likely to put weight in place of the warheads, explaining that such a system will cause destruction through the kinetic energy of the missile and unspent fuel.

And she continued, according to the daily bulletin of the British Ministry of Defense, that “it is unlikely to achieve reliable results against targets, and whatever Russia’s goal, these improvised actions illustrate the level of depletion of its stocks of long-range missiles.”
