A “strange kiss” between the wife of the US president and his vice-president’s husband is making a fuss
US First Lady Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, received each other in a strange act, as described by the American New York Post, before the US President’s State of the Union speech last night.
The footage depicted Biden shaking hands and making her way through the audience towards Kamala Harris’ husband, then they exchanged a strange kiss before the State of the Union ceremony, which the right-wing newspaper called it a sarcastic comment, calling it the “Kiss of the Union.”
They continued to hold hands in the moments that followed, as they greeted the audience.
The newspaper commented, surprisingly, that no one near the president’s wife and his vice-president’s husband showed any annoyance or comment on the “strange kiss.”
Social media in the United States caught fire with comments after kissing Jill Biden.
The scene, recorded by the cameras, spread across social networks, showing them exchanging a kiss that confused users.
The same comment was reported on “Fox News”, which published a video clip titled “Jill Biden and Douglas Imhoff kissing on the lips.”
Kellyanne Conway, a former adviser to Donald Trump, took the opportunity to criticize opponents with a commentary inspired by the atmosphere of the pandemic.
And she posted a picture of the kiss on Twitter, accompanying it with the comment, “It seems that Covid is really over.”
