London police recently had to contain two military horses that were running loose in the city center. Initially, reports indicated that seven horses had escaped, prompting police and the army to work together to recapture them. Incidents involving the horses included a smashed taxi window and a damaged tour bus windscreen. Two of the horses have been recaptured, while the others are still believed to be on the loose.

The horses, one black and one white, were seen running on the road near Aldwych, which is situated between London’s historic financial center and the West End entertainment district. The front of the white horse was covered in red, indicating that they may have been involved in some sort of incident. Police officers were able to contain the horses in Limehouse, about 4 miles east of the city center.

Images of the horses, still wearing their saddles and bridles, circulated on social media as the city of London police waited for a horse box from the British Army to collect the animals and transport them to a veterinarian. While details remain sketchy, it is clear that the situation caused some chaos in the city center as the horses roamed freely without their riders.

Reports emerged that a taxi driver waiting near Buckingham Palace had his car window smashed by one of the spooked horses. Additionally, a parked double-decker tour bus also had its windscreen damaged in the incident. With the horses contained and plans in place to bring them to a veterinarian, the city of London police are working to ensure that all the animals are safely captured and cared for.

This unusual incident involving military horses on the loose in central London highlights the potential dangers when large animals are not properly contained. The collaborative effort between the police and the army to recapture the horses demonstrates the importance of effective communication and coordination in managing unexpected situations. Hopefully, this incident will serve as a reminder of the importance of proper animal handling and containment in urban areas to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
