Today, Bashar al-Assad, President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, arrived in the UAE on an official visit, during which he was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Asma al-Assad.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, was at the forefront of his reception upon his arrival at the presidential airport in Abu Dhabi.
Upon entering the airspace of the UAE, the Syrian President’s plane was accompanied by warplanes, welcoming his visit.
President Bashar al-Assad had an official reception ceremony upon his convoy’s arrival at the Al Watan Palace. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the guest president, was accompanied to the podium of honor and the national anthem for Syria was played. The artillery fired 21 rounds and a group of honor guards lined up to salute him.
At the reception were His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan. Special Affairs Adviser in the Presidential Court, His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council, His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Muhammad Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri Minister of Economy, His Excellency Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, and His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
President Bashar Al-Assad is accompanied by a delegation that includes: Dr. Samer Al-Khalil, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidency Affairs, Dr. Boutros Hallaq, Minister of Information, Dr. Ayman Soussan, Assistant Foreign Minister, and Dr. Ghassan Abbas, Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy to the country.
