Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Kherson region on Thursday, part of which Russian forces still hold. The Ukrainian president notably went to Possad-Pokrovske, a locality which suffered significant destruction and visited a power plant damaged by Russian bombing.

The tanks, equipped with machine guns instead of the usual cannon, are designed to neutralize mines and explosive devices. The first four Slovak MiG-29 fighters have been delivered to Ukraine. The other nine promised devices will be transferred in the coming weeks.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) will open an office in Ukraine, after issuing an arrest warrant last Friday for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine’s Attorney General, Andriy Kostin, and ICC Registrar, Peter Lewis, signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday.

To help locate children abducted from Ukraine by Russia and when they return to their country, the EU will organize a conference in partnership with Warsaw and Kyiv, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced today.
