Tre’Davious White, a former Buffalo Bills cornerback, has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams worth $8.5 million, with a maximum value of $10 million. The Rams, who are looking to bolster their defense following the retirement of Aaron Donald, are hoping that White can help improve their pass defense, which ranked 20th in the league last season. White joins fellow cornerbacks Darious Williams and safety Kamren Curl as the Rams revamp their defensive lineup.

White, a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, is a two-time Pro Bowler and earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2019. Despite his accolades, White’s recent seasons have been plagued by injuries. He suffered a torn Achilles in 2021 after just four games and a torn ACL in the 2022 season, limiting his playing time to just six games that year. The Rams have signed White to a one-year deal to prove that he can stay healthy for an entire season and showcase his talent on the field.

If White can stay healthy and perform at the level he did with the Bills, Rams head coach Sean McVay will be pleased with his addition to the defense. White has racked up 18 interceptions and 68 passes defended in 82 regular-season games with Buffalo. His standout season came in 2019, where he led the league with six interceptions and 17 passes defended, along with 58 combined tackles and one sack. The Rams are hoping that White can replicate this level of performance in Los Angeles.

The addition of White to the Rams’ defense is part of the team’s efforts to strengthen their roster after losing key players like Aaron Donald. The Rams are looking to White to provide stability and playmaking ability in the secondary, helping to improve their overall defensive performance. With White joining forces with Williams and Curl, the Rams are aiming to create a formidable defensive unit that can compete at the highest level in the NFL.

With a one-year deal in hand, White has the opportunity to prove himself and showcase his skills in Los Angeles. The Rams will be closely monitoring White’s health and performance throughout the season, as they look to maximize his potential impact on the team. White’s experience, playmaking ability, and track record of success make him a valuable addition to the Rams’ defense, and fans are eager to see how he will contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
