A “difficult or even very difficult day” is announced on Tuesday January 31 in public transport due to the massive mobilizations planned against the government’s plan to reform pensions, said the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, Sunday 29 January on RTL.

While SNCF and RATP traffic forecasts are to be announced at the end of the day, the Minister has already advised: “All those who can organize themselves to telecommute, to postpone a trip, it’s better” because “there will be strong disturbances”commented the minister, interviewed on the radio program Le Grand Jury.

“I will do everything, with the SNCF, the RATP, the major public transport operators (…) so that we limit the impact on the daily life and the movements of the French people as much as possible, it will not be great, but we will try to do the best. »

In addition to Tuesday, the CGT has not ruled out actions on rail transport during school holidays, which begin on the weekend of February 4 for zone A. “We have the right to strike” but “to waste the weekends of departure or return from vacation (…) it is not serious”estimated Clément Beaune.
