Woolworths supermarket is conducting an urgent recall of a popular ice cream buy due to fears it has been contaminated with metal.
The retail giant has pulled its Woolworths brand Cookies & Cream Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches 4 Pack (440mL).
The product has been available for sale at all Woolworths stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.

The recalled packs have a best before date of November 2, 2024.
Food Standards Australia says the recall is due to the presence of foreign matter (metal).
“Food products containing metal may cause illness/injury if consumed,” it warns.
“Consumers should not eat this product and should return the product to their nearest Woolworths supermarket or Woolworths Metro for a full refund.”
