Woman fighting for life after horror crash in Melbourne


Two teenagers have been arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a two-car collision in Melbourne.

Emergency services responded to the crash at the intersection of Kavanagh and Power streets in Southbank about 3.50am on Sunday.

The sole occupant of the other car – a 30-year-old woman from Clifton Hill – sustained suspected life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two males, aged 17 and 18, were arrested nearby following reports of three people seen running away from one of the cars.

“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and have ongoing enquiries to make in relation to the third man who ran from the scene,” Victoria Police said.

“The pair are currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
