Woman fighting for life after collision with truck in Two Wells

A 79-year-old ACT woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries sustained when a car and truck collided at an intersection of the Port Wakefield Hwy north of Adelaide.

The crash happened at the highway intersection with Brooks Rd in Two Wells at 2.10pm Thursday, police said.

An 80-year-old Victorian woman, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Lyell McEwin Hospital. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Police said the truck driver was not injured but was taken to hospital for a routine blood test.

Major crash officers are investigating the incident.
