This shopper used baking paper to clean his bathroom taps. The photos left viewers in awe

Do you have any leftover greaseproof or baking paper too small to cover an oven tray? Don’t throw it out just yet.

The paper, referred to as parchment paper in the US, apparently has a second handy use – to clean your taps.

American TikToker Sidney Raz, 34, has more than four million followers for the life hacks he has learned in his 30s.

“Here’s something I didn’t know until I was in my 30s,” he said in the video.

“Parchment paper can clean faucets.”

Raz reveals what his bathroom sink tap looks like – dirty with scuff marks.

“Before,” he says, going on to spend several seconds rubbing a dry piece of baking paper over the tap.

With each wipe, his eyes widen in amazement.

“After,” he says, showing off his shiny new tap.

The video ends with Raz staring into the camera as he grips the baking paper close.

Raz raved about the hack, saying his tap is “shining more than anything”.

His video received 1.3 million views, with hundreds of users stunned by the before and after photos.

“Lol I just used that – can’t believe it works – tried around the sink too with no disappointment,” one person said.

“I’m going to give that a try!” another said.

“Ordering my parchment paper now!” a third wrote.

Others weren’t as keen to give Raz’s hack a go, likening the sensory effect to nails on a blackboard.

“That sound of wax paper on faucet, it hurt my teeth,” one person wrote.

“That noise put my teeth on edge,” a second said.
