A 15-year-old German footballer has died from injuries sustained in an on-field fight.
The teenager was seriously injured by an opposition player from French club FC Metz on Sunday night after a fight broke out during their international tournament in Frankfurt, according to Vosges Matin.

The boy was rushed to hospital but died, days later.
“The 15-year-old boy died in hospital from his serious brain injuries,” German police said.
A 16-year-old boy suspected of delivering the fatal blows is in pre-trial detention.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and an autopsy will be performed in the coming days.
On Tuesday, Metz said it was “deeply shocked by this tragedy”.
The club did not specify details of the offending player’s age or nationality.
