Teen passenger dies in horror crash in Sydney’s south west


A passenger – believed to be aged 17 – has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south west.

Emergency services were called to Hoxton Park Road, Hoxton Park, about 3.35am on Sunday following reports a white Toyota Camry crashed into a pole. The male passenger died at the scene.

NSW Police say he is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 17.

“The 17-year-old male driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for assessment and mandatory testing,” police said.

Officers have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Hoxton Park Road was closed eastbound, with local diversions in place, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
